Wednesday-Monday, May 7th

Well I haven't been keeping up with this so here's what I've been up to!

Wednesday night was another late night with our leadership class with Rich Hollingsworth. We did the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory and I found out that I am an ESTJ. Our class let out around 12:00 which was earlier than usual but I just came back and went to bed because Wednesday had been a busy day. I did fortunately erg 40 minutes at a healthy pace so I felt great about that.

Thursday was a busy day of classes and then a midterm in my AED Econ class. After the midterm, I got dinner with Joe and relaxed for the evening. Beau and I made it out to Kappa's philanthropy (Kappa Dog Night) and then out to Beau's friend's house who was having a party. He happened to be roommates with one of my good friends, DC, with whom I traveled to Mexico. It was great to catch up with him and to meet Beau's friend too.

On Friday, Dante, Joe and I headed out to the Gray course to play 18 holes. I was very happy with how I played and I think Dante and Joe were as well. It felt great to play an entire round and it felt great to hit solidly. Friday night, Julie and I went out to see my siblings (the "little guys") while they visited with my uncle who was in town for a conference. They were swimming at the pool at his hotel and Kevin and Chris were fitted with life vests and "swimmies" on their arms to keep them afloat. Apparently they were also complaining about their hair and face getting wet. My uncle had to explain to the five and three year old that when you swim, you get wet, and you just have to get over it. It was pretty funny :)

Saturday, Joe, Beau and I headed out to their grandma's house on Buckeye Lake for a day of cornhole, grilling out, apple pie, and relaxation. Beau's dad met us out there and was our fourth for cornhole as we grilled out, fished, and discussed life in general. After he left, we watched the pre-race coverage for the Kentucky Derby and placed bets. I ended up winning the bet on the horse named Street Sense who was the favorite at race time with 5-1 odds. Joe's Grandma had Curlin who ended up in third, Beau had Nobizlikeshobiz, Joe had Scat Daddy and Beau's dad had Any Given Saturday. After coming back from the lake, Joe and a bunch of our friends came over to Joe's to watch the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight on pay-per-view. Unfortunately my luck ended there when I placed a bet at even odds on De La Hoya. Although it was a split decision, Mayweather won the fight. C'est la vie.

Sunday, Julie and I ran a number of errands including the purchase of my new Nike+ Running Shoes to work with my ipod and the Nike+ sensor I already purchased. I also made it over to Joe and Perry's to watch Entourage as we do every Sunday.

Today, I had Game Theory and Table Tennis as usual before erging for fifteen minutes. Then, this evening, we had a Risk Management speaker come in for Greek Week to talk about the law and how it affects college students, particularly in regards to underage drinking, facebook and myspace. It was very informative and a good wake-up call.

I've also decided to keep a log of my working out and my meals on a google spreadsheet so I can update it online and have it all in one location. I'm also keeping track of my spending this way so I can update it anytime I am on the internet. I think this will be better than keeping it on this blog, but I still hope to keep this blog updated so I can keep reflecting on a daily basis :)
