So after this Memorial Day weekend came to a close, it's time for me to reflect on what has happened since I've last updated my blog. Well, on Wednesday, I had my Econ 601 course and Table Tennis before our Leadership class. One of the cool things we covered in our Leadership Class was our personal purpose statements. It was amazing to hear how many of us had similar purpose statements!
On Thursday, after my Golf class, I prepared for the weekend back in Cincinnati with Joe and the fellas. I drove home and Joe and I set up some of his personal things like his TV and his futon in his new house that he just recently purchased. We watched some Family Guy before falling asleep after a long day.
On Friday, Joe and I ran errands and realized that my new phone unfortunately did not come with the A2DP bluetooth profile setting, which would allow it to communicate with my headset to play music. After that though the men from Lowe's came and unloaded Joe's new refrigerator and stove. After that, Joe and I made it out to Golf Galaxy and bought a hole and a pin and we went back to his house to hit some Golf balls in his backyard after we planted the hole. A few of the guys (Beau, Matt, Rian, and Scott) came down later and we took them on a tour of the house and to play a few in the backyard. We then went out to dinner at Chili's and came back to spend time with each other and enjoy each other's company. The younger guys surprised Joe and me by giving us Mont Blanc pens as Graduation gifts.
On Saturday we headed to the Bruins to play a scramble. Team Professional (Scott, Matt, and myself) overcame Team Engineer (Joe, Beau, and Rian) by a score of 2 under to 1 under. We were tied after eight and it came down to a crucial put by Scott on the last hole to birdie after our opponents had parred the hole. After Golf, we all went out to lunch and then up to the Outlets before heading back to Columbus. That night, Julie and I went out to dinner and saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
Sunday, Julie and I went in to return my Samsung phone and trade it in for the LG enV phone. I am much happier with this phone which does have the A2DP bluetooth profile setting and also has a larger QWERTY keyboard. We ate lunch at Panera before packing up some of my things for home and then headed down to the Outlets before we went to my Uncle's house for a dinner for my mom's birthday. At the outlets we got my mom some Nike workout clothes that she appreciated. Late night after dinner, Julie and I drove down to the River and drove around downtown Cincinnati before heading back to Columbus.
On Monday, Julie and I spent most of the day writing two papers we needed to finish. Julie's paper was on the Grapes of Wrath and is due on Wednesday. My paper was on my study abroad in France and was due on Monday in order to finish my requirements to graduate "with honors" from the Fisher College of Business Honors Contract program. Now the only thing I have to do is earn a 3.55 GPA this quarter in order to graduate both "cum laude" and "with Honors".
Today I went to my classes and then came back to study Finance with Brandon. Now I've just been updating all of my calendars and trying to figure out how best to keep track of things. I've decided to use the Google Calendar because I can retrieve it on my phone. I still use my PalmOne LifeDrive, but I like having a clear cut calendar as well. Nick just came over and he and I are going to knock out our Game Theory homework due tomorrow. It's a busy week but come Thursday night I'll be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and only have two finals next week. I am pretty excited!
