22 Cities

In early July of 2006, I packed my things and flew to Europe. Since then, I have traveled to six countries and twenty-two cities, by my last count. Over the summer, while taking classes in Dijon, France I traveled on the weekends to Paris, Nice, Frankfurt, the Loire Valley, Amsterdam, and Rome before returning to Cincinnati after my two months of studying and travel ended.

Returning to the US, my mother and I took two weeks to visit Law Schools. First we went to Charlottesville, where we visited the University of Virginia. Then we headed north to Washington D.C. where we took tours of George Washington University and Georgetown Law School. Afterwards we headed to Philadelphia where we stayed with relatives and visited the Law School at UPenn. We then continued our East Coast trip to New York City and visited Columbia and New York University. For the final leg of our tour we went to Boston to tour Boston University and Boston College.

Upon returning to Columbus for Autumn Quarter, I was inundated with activities from Welcome Week to Homecoming Week where I was fortunate enough to serve on the Homecoming Court. I made trips to Dayton and Cleveland before taking a long weekend to Chicago with Joe and Beau for Beau's 21st Birthday, an away football game at Northwestern, and my interview for Northwestern's Law School.

Over Winter Break, I spent a week with my Emerging Markets Field Study class in Guadalajara, Mexico where I roomed with Ryan and Alon. After returning to Columbus for the first few days of Winter Quarter 2007 in early January, my friends and i traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for the NCAA Football National Championship. For the rest of Winter Quarter, I was relatively stationary, until Spring Break.

My first trip over Spring Break was to Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana to take a tour and meet with the Admissions Office. I sat in on a class and felt that the visit was very informational. Shortly after I returned to Cincinnati, Joe, Perry and I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for the Midwest Regionals in the Basketball NCAA Tournament (Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games). We saw Butler, Florida, Oregon and UNLV play for a Final Four spot. We also watched Ohio State on TV beat Tennessee and Memphis to make it to the Final Four. The next weekend, Perry, Scott B, and I traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to see the Final Four and NCAA Basketball Championships. We saw Ohio State, Georgetown, Florida, and UCLA play.

A few weeks ago I made it back to Cincinnati for Easter and made it out to Glendale to see Joe's new house. Two weeks ago, I headed up to Chicago for the second time this year, this time for my fraternity's formal. I'm not sure when again I will be able to travel so often and to so many different cities. I have been truly blessed to have the friends and family to support me in my travels and endeavors and it has been and will continue to be an amazing year.
